- Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. It is an autoimmune disease; often there is no such thing as “complete recovery.” In the early stage, the values can sometimes level out without hormone treatment, but monitoring over time is always important.
- Subacute thyroiditis. This is an inflammatory process that heals completely if it is diagnosed correctly and on time.
- Toxic goiter (Graves’ disease). The first choice is medication treatment; some patients go into remission on medication.
- Diabetes. In some patients, treatment can be simplified or changed. But blood sugar needs control “not just one day, but every day,” and medication is not stopped without the doctor’s permission.
- Complex cases. From the doctor’s post: a case where adrenal, pituitary, osteoporosis, thyroid and pancreatic problems came together in one patient. “It is difficult, but with patience and faith it is not impossible to prevent it.” After two years of treatment, the patient was told to come to later appointments for prevention only.

Can endocrine diseases be fully cured?
Short answer
The doctor’s answer: “Both ‘yes’ and ‘no.’” It depends on the type of disease. In some cases, we speak of recovery alongside lifelong medication, and in others we can stop the medication completely. “Your diagnosis will not be exactly the same as your neighbor’s. Just as every person is an individual, treatment must be individualized too.”
